Our Story
The Birth of an Interspecies Symphony: Our Journey
A Life-Affirming Response to Global Crisis We live in a critical era where humanity faces a self-inflicted ecological calamity. In this moment of uncertainty, the Masterplants Orchestra was born—not just as a band, but as a life-affirming, creative response to the imminent environmental crisis. We believe that plant music represents humanity’s essential return to nature. It is a response to the mythical narrative of our time: that humanity has lost its intrinsic connection with the natural world, and in doing so, has lost its connection to itself.
Founding the Masterplants Orchestra The seeds of this project were planted in 2018. Founders Tritone Crisantemo, his brother Benjamin Jamily, and Zigola Pioppo set out with a singular, ambitious goal: to develop a way for the botanical world to speak back. Driven by a shared passion for music, nature, and activism, they dedicated themselves to the field of bio-sonification.
By 2019, this collaboration bore fruit with the creation of the world’s first multi-plant prototype device: The Symphony. Named for the intuition that all of nature operates as one cohesive, living orchestra, this device allowed up to eight plants to perform simultaneously, translating their ionic bio-data into symphonic arrangements.
A World Tour Without End After months of designing suitable soundscapes and learning to navigate the unpredictable, beautiful "language" of the Symphony, the founders realized they had stumbled into something much larger than themselves. With a burning desire to reconnect plants and humans through the universal language of music, they set off on a journey to share this discovery with the world.
That journey became a global tour that is still ongoing to this day. From sacred forests to international stages, the Masterplants Orchestra continues to perform, present, and innovate—bringing the hidden songs of the earth to light and inviting humanity to rejoin the circuit of the natural world.

The Night Frequency
Listening to the Biological Stillness
While the world rests, the "Root Net" shifts into a different state of consciousness. This video explores the nocturnal side of bio-sonification, where the electrical signals of the plants become slower, deeper, and more atmospheric. During these hours of biological stillness, the Symphony 2.0 system captures the generative soundscape and subtle "breathing" that reflects the plant's internal restorative processes.
Including this in our plant music journey is essential because it reminds us that nature's intelligence is constant, even when it is quiet. By sonifying the night, Tritone Crisantemo offers a sensory bridge into the unseen rhythms of the ecosystem, proving that the music of life never truly stops—it simply changes key.
The Future
The Future of the Masterplants Orchestra: A Symphony of Interspecies Connection
The versatility of plant music allows the Masterplants Orchestra to transcend the traditional boundaries of a band. Our work serves as a bridge between art, science, and environmental advocacy, making it possible for us to collaborate with diverse organizations—from botanical gardens and holistic wellness centers to ecological research institutes and international music festivals. Our primary mission is to facilitate a profound musical reconnection with the natural world, reminding audiences that we are all part of the same biological and electrical circuit.
The Symphony Device: Technology for the Community
We are currently in a pivotal phase of our journey, touring globally to demonstrate the power of interspecies communication through live performance and technical presentations. While on the road, our research team is dedicated to streamlining and perfecting the
Symphony Plant Music device.
This professional-grade bio-sonification interface is the same technology we use in our live performances to translate ionic plant data into melodic soundscapes. We are refining the user experience to ensure our community—from professional musicians to nature enthusiasts—will soon be able to get their hands on this gear. By putting the tools of sonification into the hands of the people, we aim to turn every indoor garden and forest trail into a collaborative stage for the song of the plants.
